Success stories > Wasfi, Saudi Arabian player: “I found FutbolJobs and ended up playing in Spain”.

-How were the first days at CD Llosetense?
Well it was hard to start. A new city for me and it is not easy to adapt. After two months everything got better, I was very comfortable, very happy training every day and sharing with the new teammates. I had already lived in Mallorca before so I had a bit of a feel for the city but well, in the end I managed to adapt and it was very good for me.

-What was your career like in Arabia?
My career before coming to Spain, I played for the Etihad club, and I also spent some time at the Manchester United academy and then made the jump to Spain.

-Did FutbolJobs work for you?
Yes, of course I do. FutbolJobs has helped me a lot. They have done a great job for me and I am very happy to have worked with them. It has been a really professional job. I found FutbolJobs by searching for opportunities on the internet. I saw the platform, understood how it worked and nothing, I created my profile, subscribed and applied. From there they contacted me and well, I ended up playing in Spain, in Llosetense.

-Many players have made the leap to Arabia, you did it the other way around, what motivated you?
Yes, now in Arabia there are many players going to Spain. It is very good for them, for some years now it has been a target destination because there is a lot of experience in Spain and not only in Spain, in all of Europe. The Saudi league is getting stronger every day and I think that experience in Europe is necessary and good for everyone.

-How are divisions like third or fourth in Arabia?
They are very good now, they have a very good level and the Saudi league in general is much better than before because there are many players from all over the world. The second, third and fourth divisions have a very good level now.

-Do you think there is quality in Saudi Arabia for players to play in Spain?
Now there are many Saudi players who have a high level and can compete in Europe… not only in Spain, in England, in France, in Belgium, in Italy. The quality of Saudi players now has improved a lot and we are more prepared to make the jump to Europe.

-Do you think there are other profiles that can also work in Spain?
Yes, I’m sure it is. The quality is very good. Not only players. Doctors, coaches… Arab professionals have a lot of quality: engineers and many other professions related to soccer have enough quality to go to Spain.

-What is your goal in Spain?
My dream is to play for a very big club and to play for a big club in Europe and Saudi Arabia.
